Lausanne, Switzerland. Beautiful few days next to Lake Geneva supporting @jess__lowe in the ITU AG Olympic distance world championships! She smashed it. I suffered with major FOMO most of the weekend, fuel for the fire to qualify next time round! Great to see @greenwichtritons - @hayhay.05 @hollydixon23 killing it on the world stage.
3 years and counting! @jess__lowe
Always proud to put on the tri suit for GB. This time for the age group ETU Aquathlon in Targu-Mures! Long read below! . . . . It was a long trip to Romania for this race and I was feeling decidedly unhappy the day before during the swim familiarisation where the water was filled with scratchy weeds and plant life. Thankfully on race day an additional 2 feet of water meant the swim was much better than expected, faster than expected too especially with it being non wetsuit. The run was 4 laps of a 1.25km circuit with a few dead turns making it difficult to mantain a steady pace. As usual the transition from swim to run was brutal and I really felt I was hanging on as much as possible on the run. Ended up 3rd Brit 7th overall in my age group. Fantastic support from @jess__lowe
Really enjoyed the Yorkshireman Half at Newby Hall at the weekend! Me and @jess__lowe have been preparing for this one for ages! I managed to knock a load of time off my 70.3 distance PB despite feeling the pain for sure in the last 5km. Great to see the family and have their support! @danlowe10 @maclowe9 Great organisation the whole weekend. Wetsuit strippers and some lovely person racking the bike in T2 need I say more? Next race ETU Aquathlon Targu- Mures! #yorkshiremanhalf #trihard #freebirdevents #newbyhall #greenwichtritons
